Similar to the Xtracycle Freeradical and Radish, the Mundo places the cargo behind the rider - instead of in front like the Joe-Bike. What separates the Mundo from the Xtracycle is the weight capacity available - 250lbs. for Xtracycle - 440lbs. for the Mundo.
More important though is that the Mundo is welded together as a complete frameset (as seen in the photo), whereas the Xtracycle is an added-on kit to an existing regular bike. Having owned an Xtracycle Freeradical kit I can tell you that there was a considerable amount of flex and twisting when the bike was even lightly loaded with cargo and the Mundo should have none of those issues due to the one-piece frameset.
Also available for the Mundo are these great bags, babyseats (you can put 2 of them on the bike), a padded deck for carrying your friends around - as well as a front rack for maximum cargo capacity.
The bike comes standard with fenders, 21-speeds, 48-spoke wheelset, and v-brakes. There are disc brake tabs available if you want to upgrade to disc brakes too.
